Inclusive Education

At Ecole St. Anne School, we develop and design classrooms, programs and activities so that all students learn and participate together.
Inclusive education is about ensuring access to quality education for all students by effectively meeting their diverse needs in a way that is responsive, accepting, respectful and supportive.
Students participate in the educational program in a common learning environment with support to diminish and remove barriers and obstacles that may lead to exclusion.
Staff and students are supported by a school based psychology team, occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist.
With family input, our school team works together to support our students in reaching their highest potential!

Speech Language Pathology:
Living Waters Specialized Services provides a variety of speech and language services throughout the division.  We use the 3-tiers of intervention from the RTI model (Response to Intervention) to guide our service delivery.  This means that we select the least intrusive, most effective type of service to match student needs.  Services include classroom presentations and programs that can be used by all students, small targeted groups, and individualized services such as assessment and direct treatment.  We work alongside teachers and classroom staff, recognizing the importance of supporting students within the classroom setting whenever possible.

Psychology Services:
Social/Emotional Learning and Mental Health Services - Canniff and Associates.

Along with supporting students directly, the psychology and mental health team collaborates with parents and school staff to support overall wellbeing and provide the best possible opportunities for students to experience success in school. There are no costs associated with these services. Mental health supports at Ècole St. Anne are provided through Canniff & Associates, which have provided over a decade of in-school psychology and mental health services to Living Waters Schools, with full time services since the 2016-2017 school year.

Canniff staff is available Monday to Friday and provide individual, group, and in-class support to our students throughout the school year.
